INFORMATION ON THE PARKING RAMP

As of November 5, 2007:
The following describes the current interim operational plan for the Parking Ramp:
- Levels 1 & 2 are reserved for Faculty, Staff and Students that have purchased a reserved Ramp permit.
- Levels 3, 4 & 5 are open for parking to vehicles displaying daytime permits such as “A”, “S”, “H” and “G” permits. Evening passes are valid in the Ramp after 5 p.m.
- For REA events the Ramp becomes an event lot with shuttle service provided to REA and a $5 fee is required for vehicles parked. The only exception is Swanson Hall residents that have purchased a reserved Ramp permit.
- Elevators in the North-East and South-West stair towers are in operation.
- The enforcement office in the basement of the South-West stair tower should open sometime in November, 2007.
- The “Skywalk” connection across Columbia to lot 10 is expected to open for service in early December, 2007.
- The attendant booth and parking management system (PARCS) including gates and ticket dispensing machines should be installed and operational in January, 2008.
- Ramp reserved permits are available for purchase from the Parking Office. This permit guarantees space availability between 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.
